Facilities, Resources, and Contacts: 1991 Edition

Background

Within the REDACTED, the early 1990s saw a rapid decline in public sentiment towards government spending and private investment into space-related projects.

The Center for the Decommissioning of Off-Earth Technology, or CDOT, was a government program that actively worked to close both public and private space-related facilities and prevent the further use of already decommissioned facilities by civilians.

Discovery

Formerly known as Hornsilver, Gold Point was once home to many gold mining operations, but after the population collapsed due to the end of mining operations during World War II, it's now considered a ghost town.

While the area still had some residents when this transient object arrived, the Field Recovery Technician assigned to its collection had no issues retrieving it.
